ORIGINAL CONCEPTS

In addition to projects I created during my studies or for clients, I also dedicate time to my own creative projects in my free time. These personal projects allow me to experiment with new techniques, explore different design styles, and refine my skills without limitations. I enjoy testing out various software tools, improving my workflow, and pushing my creativity in ways that client work might not always allow. Whether it’s trying out a new mockup concept, exploring fresh color palettes, or refining my illustration techniques, these projects help me grow as a designer while keeping the creative process fun and inspiring.

The fictitious techno festival "DECK Festival" takes place on a massive boat cruising through the waters of Amsterdam. Set against the backdrop of the city's iconic canals, this unique floating event combines pulsating electronic beats with breathtaking views. As the boat glides through Amsterdam, festival-goers can enjoy high-energy DJ sets, immersive light shows, and an electrifying atmosphere on multiple decks. The two lines in the logo symbolize the different levels or decks of the boat, reinforcing the festival’s unique multi-deck experience where music, energy, and movement happen on different floors. This reflects the diverse atmospheres and sounds that festival-goers can explore on board. The waves represent the flow of water and music, embodying the rhythmic beats of techno as well as the constant movement of the festival cruise through Amsterdam’s canals. They also capture the fluidity of the experience, where attendees seamlessly move from one deck to another, immersing themselves in music, lights, and the surrounding cityscape.

DACCINO PREMIUM COFFEE

Daccino Premium Coffee is a fictitious coffee brand with Italian origins, committed to sustainability at every step. The name is meant to aligned with the country's deep-rooted coffee heritage. Many classic coffee names (like cappuccino, macchiato, and espresso) originate from Italy, making "Daccino" feel authentic. The coffee beans would be ethically and sustainably sourced, reflecting the brand’s dedication to environmental responsibility. Both the packaging and coffee cups would be made from recycled materials, reinforcing Daccino’s mission to reduce waste. Instead of concealing the use of recycled materials, the brand embraces it—highlighting earthy tones in its design to emphasize sustainability as a core value rather than a hidden feature. Additionally, for every bag of coffee sold, €0.50 is donated to an organization dedicated to restoring tropical rainforests, planting trees, and protecting local wildlife. By choosing Daccino Premium Coffee, customers actively contribute to a greener, more sustainable world—one cup at a time.
KAREL MESSING KAPPERS
Karel Messing Kappers is a fictitious luxury hair salon, specializing in hairstyles inspired by the iconic looks of the 1950s and 1960s. This retro influence is reflected in every aspect of the brand, from its styling techniques to its carefully curated aesthetic. To emphasize this vintage inspiration, the "rewind" symbol is subtly incorporated into the letter "K" in the logo, represented by two triangles pointing backward. This design choice symbolizes a return to classic elegance and timeless beauty, much like pressing rewind on a recorder to revisit an era of sophisticated, well-crafted hairstyles. KMK also distinguishes itself through its commitment to natural beauty. The salon exclusively uses 100% natural hair products, free from synthetic additives. Products from their in-house line are scented purely with floral and botanical extracts and tinted with natural colorants derived from plants and minerals. At Karel Messing Kappers, customers can experience the perfect blend of vintage glamour and modern sustainability, ensuring both style and hair health remain timeless.
